Eating disorders evolve from the teenager’s mental state and their way of thinking, where they experience unhealthy thoughts about their body. Other symptoms such as perfectionism and low self-esteem can also be prominent with eating disorders, so it is imperative that you as the parent, seek additional support and assistance for your teenager.
