Chloe Kim is a talented Provisional Psychologist, passionate about effectively helping each and every person to make real and significant progress in their life. Warm-hearted and genuine, Chloe believes that taking the required time to listen to your challenges, brings forth a better understanding of what is beneath your actions and words.
Calm in her nature, Chloe has developed a fascination of how similar, yet different we all are. It was this intrigue that led her to pursue the path of psychology.
Moving from Korea to Australia with her family at the age of 10, Chloe was met with many adjustment challenges that came with moving to a new country. The change in environment and way of living opened her eyes to how wonderfully different and similar cultures can be. This sparked an interest within Chloe to learn more about the different walks of life people have come from. Further, exploring how adversities in life can be dealt with in each of our unique ways.
Chloe ensures she gives you her full attention, and has an extremely understanding and compassionate approach in her sessions. You will instantly feel her authentic persona as she creates a safe space for you to explore your concerns, so you feel open to share. Patient and focussed on your wants and needs, she moves through her sessions at your own individual pace, enabling you to achieve practical and collaborative strategies together as a team. Through this she works towards making meaningful change in your life.
As an experienced Provisional Psychologist at Creating Change, Chloe holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) degree and is in the final stages of her a Master of Clinical Psychology. Her training includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Imaginal Exposure Therapy (short term trauma therapy), and risk management.
Chloe places a high value on supporting and teaching people about mental health, and how they can overcome life’s hurdles. Her level of expertise is evident in the broad range of presentations she treats: Anxiety Disorders, depression & low mood, eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, Relational Disorder, stress management, body image issues, self-harm and emotional regulation.
Chloe’s accomplishments include the completion of her Honours thesis, which explored gender norms in dating and how they differ across cultures.
Chloe loves going on hikes in great weather, watching movies, and takes pleasure in cooking different cuisines.
Chloe is a devoted therapist at our practice and is available for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
