She patiently defines the role of emotion in hindering personal progress, and empowers you to find contentment, be undeterred by fear, and to establish a clear direction for the future.
Bringing humour, enthusiasm and compassion to what can often be serious and absorbing issues, Bianca is committed to helping you discover fresh social circles, embrace new employment opportunities, and engage more intentionally with the present. She has successfully assisted deeply withdrawn clients achieve the same dramatic results.
Integral to her approach is tracing the origins of your current circumstance, ensuring you understand the specific influence of the past and gaining your commitment to avoiding the same old mistakes moving forward.
As an experienced Clinical Psychologist at Creating Change, Bianca combines a Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical) and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) with extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Invaluable to broadening her experience has been the short-term, goal-oriented treatment of youth and young adults at Headspace—independent care sites offering 12-25 year olds access to early mental health support—and working in private practice with children, adolescents and their families.
Equally significant are her roles with Wollongong and Sydney University clinics, and Macquarie University’s Emotional Health Clinic renowned for its innovative, evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.
Bianca’s level of expertise is evident in the range of clinical presentations she treats: social anxiety, internet gaming, specific phobias, childhood and adult depression, self-harm, suicide, behavioural difficulties, ADHD, learning disorders, performance and exam anxiety including HSC stress, and challenges experienced in relationships and families.
On a personal level, Bianca loves reading. She is a skilled saxophonist, and welcomes the revelry of a good card or board game.
